When it comes to the gym, most of us think of it as a Marmite thing. We either love it or hate it. The rush we get after a good workout is great, and we get a similar rush when it comes to sex. But did you know that you could actually exercise your way to better sex? Now there’s a reason to keep up with your gym membership!
There are some exercises that you can do regularly which will help to improve your endurance and skill in the bedroom. You’ll be able to go for longer and to enjoy more intense orgasms just by trying these moves out.
1. The cat/cow stretch
You might not think that you need to stretch before sex, but this simple exercise can actually make quite the difference. Not only will this help to stretch out your body and help to prevent injury, but it can aid you with your breathing.
You should move from one exercise to the other slowly. While moving into the cat stretch (where your body is arched over) breathe in slowly, and then move to the cow stretch (where your body is arched under) as you breathe out.
2. Pelvic floor exercises
If you are a man who has difficulty maintaining an erection or delaying your orgasm during sex, you’ll want to work on your pelvic floor exercises. These exercises can also help women to tighten their pussies!
It is a very easy exercise to do. All you have to do is clench your pelvic floor. You’ll do this when you pee to control the flow, so try it now as you read this. Once you get the hang of it you’ll find that it really makes a difference. The bridge exercise, as shown in the gif below, is also a version of this exercise you can do.
3. Squats
Having difficulty in those positions where you rely on the strength of your legs to keep going? You’ll need to work on that, and squats can really help. By repeatedly doing squats you’ll build up the strength in your legs which will help you keep going in the more challenging positions.
There are plenty of different types of squats you can do. Want a challenge? Try doing the exercise with a weight. Want to get some cardio in? Try jump squats. The variety means that you will never be bored!
4. Crunches
Yes, this is a very simple exercise, but for those eager to exercise their way to a better sex life, this is one of those exercises you cannot miss out at all! Crunches are great for improving your core strength, which is vital to any sex position.
If you don’t have the core strength you’ll find it difficult to keep going during sex. If you build up your core strength you’ll be able to go for longer, making sex even better! Like squats there are plenty of different varieties you can try, so why not opt for bicycle crunches to really work those muscles?
5. Running
If you are ever feeling stressed and need to let off some steam, running is a great way to do it. You’ll sweat out the stress and find that your worries fade away when running. But another fantastic benefit of running is that it can improve your sex life in one big way: endurance.
Running is one of the exercises where endurance is the key. If you keep at it you’ll find that you can keep going for longer, which will really help you in the bedroom! Over time you’ll notice that you can have sex for much longer, just by going for a run.
