Here at Escort Scotland, we deal with sex on a daily basis. To be fair, it is absolutely fascinating and although everyone is different, it has become very apparent that both men and women in general have a different kind of sex drive, with men normally having a higher one.
Now before I go any further, that doesn’t mean everyone is the same. I know men who have low sex drives, and women who are at it like rabbits. No-one is abnormal, and you should never feel pressured into acting a way that is unnatural to you. These are just general patterns.
Let’s face it though, it is basically men who use escort services, and men who watch pornography. Yes, there will be exceptions to that rule, but the rule most certainly exists. But why is this?
A Trip Back in Time
Scientists are sure that the male love of casual sex is ingrained in their biological make-up from all the way back to caveman days. To put it simply, men would have more to gain from casual sex as they would get the enjoyment, and would have no consequences. Back then, there was no such thing as the CSA, you could just go on your merry way. However, if a woman has casual sex, she may well get pregnant and be stuck with a baby. There is still an element of that today, where even if the CSA get their hands on the dad, he will at worst have to pay cash for 18 years. The woman on the other hand has a kid. That really doesn’t seem equal.
An Issue With Culture
Another major factor is the way society treats guys. They are supposed to have sex, and men without much of a sex drive are looked at as weirdos or as having a problem. From an early age guys are expected to be out having sex with women. If they aren’t they are regarded by their peers as losers. Therefore many are taken into a culture where they are out having copious amounts of sex and can therefore brag to their friends about it.
Compare that with females. If they go around saying how much sex they have with copious amounts of men, they are likely to get called a slag. This is rank hypocrisy but will certainly affect the way that women view sex.
So here is the question? Do women have less of a sex drive, or do they have less of a love of ‘casual sex’?
Biological Reasons
Well according to a study by Roy F Baumeister described on Psychology Today men still have a higher sex drive in general. He had this to say at the end of a very interesting blog.
After months of reading and compiling results, the answer was clear. There is a substantial difference, and men have a much stronger sex drive than women. To be sure, there are some women who have frequent, intense desires for sex, and there are some men who don’t, but on average the men want it more. Every marker we could think of pointed to the same conclusion. Men think about sex more often than women do. Men have more sexual fantasies, and these encompass more different acts and more different partners.
So why does he think this is the case? Well, he actually believes that women can adapt their sexuality to social norms and situations. Guys are the other hand have strong urges and cravings that they are not able to control as easily. This makes sense when you consider most murders are committed by men. The male of the species are certainly more impulsive.
Be Better at Sex
So it seems that there are many factors, both biological and societal that cause men to have a higher sex drive than women. However, just because most women aren’t thinking about sex every minute of every day, that doesn’t mean that they don’t like sex, and the best way to make sure you get plenty is to make sure you do it well. Our website has plenty of sex tips, including this blog by Lara Mills on how to be more creative in bed.
In the end, if you want to have the woman in your life to have more of a sex drive, be better at it. If you can get her screaming, you will have no problems getting your fair share.
